This section of my site includes various theology and related resources that you may find useful. I will be building it up slowly with content from various talks that I have given or will be giving.
When COVID-19 hit, I was scheduled to give a few 3 hour mini-retreats on the Examen Prayer of St. Ignatius of Loyola. We could no longer meet in person, but it seemed to me that helping people pray and examine their lives would be more important than ever.
Praying the seven penitential psalms is a centuries old practice for Catholics, especially when confronted with circumstances beyond our abilities to cope. Specifically, they were invoked in time of plague. When COVID-19 shut down the churches, we didn’t understand how bad it was, how contagious it was, or anything. The natural human response is to turn to God, cry for help, and repent.
This is another of my COVID-19 projects. Since we could not gather for Easter, I made these videos to help people understand what happens at the Easter Triduum liturgies.
